About our teaching tribe

Hi and welcome! 

My name is Claudia, I am a self-proclaimed life engager and curious spirit who continues to experience first hand the transformational power of yoga in my own life. I am also the creative force behind Precious Breath Yoga.  

My affinity with water is instrumental within my teaching. Originally from Perth, I started to practice yoga in my teenage years as a means to increase my fitness and balance whilst surfing on the west coast beaches. Since then I have explored various forms of yoga and am now passionate about sharing the restorative effect of syncing breath with movement of the body to improve our quality of life.

It hasn’t always been this way for me though…

At the age of 22 I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. At the prime of my fitness I began to feel totally helpless as RA coursed through my body crashing into my joints, debilitating me to the point where I couldn't walk without assistance. Little did I know at the time, auto-immune dis-ease would be my blessing in disguise. 

My journey reclaiming my health included learning how to love my body again, valuing my health and gaining a deeper awareness of what I was consuming, food, thoughts and environment alike. Yoga and it's teachings has helped me to reconnect to my body and heal from the inside out, bringing life affirming oxygen to my muscles and joints. That's the inspiration behind the name Precious Breath.

I believe good health extends far beyond simply looking good, it's the spring in your step, a calm and focused mind and an unrestrained childlike sense of curiosity of your own potential. 

Yoga for me is a place to nurture, challenge and love my body, relishing in what I am capable of with an open, joyful heart. It’s how I teach, it’s how I live, breaking through self imposed limitations to move toward a more fulfilled life.

Hello my name is Kendall, 

I am a single mother who is besotted by my daughter, in love with nature and still discovering the amazing capabilities of our miraculous being. I have been practicing yoga since 2008 and always been in awe of the human body and what it can achieve, I've used mine to take me on some incredible adventures! 

I believe this life is about experience and love, even though our world can sometimes make it difficult for us to follow our heart, we should never give up, we gain valuable experiences from our life’s struggles.

SUP Yoga test your body physically but it also takes your mind to a whole new place of concentration, clarity and strength. The water has a magical ability to deepen your connection with yourself, aiding you to build a greater understanding of your body, discovering things you may not have discovered on land. 

Practicing yoga helps me to still my mind, be peaceful and happy which is what inspires me to keep learning. so that I can share my knowledge and help guide others on their journey to re connect home to themselves.

Hi, my name is Shayne, 

I'm a qualified yoga teacher, enthusiastic meditator, journaler, tree climber and part time mermaid. It's my hope that you walk out of one of my classes in a little love bubble. 

I believe that all decisions should be based on the premise of "If it's not a f*ck yeah, then it's a no." We are all designed to live a life filled with love and joy and we all have a unique gift to share with the world. 

Our only obstacle is to get out of our own way and follow our authentic path that we are being guided on. 

Remember your soul knows the way, allow it to lead you.  I'm looking forward to sharing some time on the mat with you in our outdoor yoga studio this summer

Who our water-yogi tribe is

We are curious spirits and creative life engagers, we come together outdoors and open our arms to the sky as we improve our wellbeing and reconnect to the majesty of nature.

SUPYoga reveals our imbalances, showing us what side of our body we favour more. This insight encourages us to move differently over the water, slower with more intention. Drawing up energy through softness in our joints, giving ourselves the time we need to learn how to articulate the surface of the water and keep ourselves stable. 

We feel the benefits of taking our practice to water are far more than just physical. The mental concentration required to move over an unstable surface must be married with an element of surrender. We no longer have the orchestrated environment of an indoor studio. If we lose concentration for a second, we know we'll be in the water - which is no matter, SUP Yoga is fun and our sense of humour goes a long way in helping us find our sea legs.

We welcome and encourage all levels of our curious tribe to join in with these most divine experiences as we truly learn what it means to 'find your centre'. Our experienced instructors guide us through basic sequences to help us get acquainted with moving above the water, once we feel comfortable, we'll encourage each other to explore our own potential…

This is what Precious Breath is all about, guiding ourselves to move beyond our self perceived limitations and live our lives to our fullest creative expression.

Invite all that's supportive, encouraging and life affirming deep into your belly. Indulge in the delicious sensation of prana entering your body, seeking out space to open you up & give you renewed energy.
